The Braves are hoping for a little help from the bullpen in '06. Mix that in with a veteran starting rotation and a supporting staff including the likes of Franco, Giles and Jones and the potential for an NL East pennant becomes very apparent. Any Braves fan headed out for a game at Turner Field should take a look at our "Fan's Guide to the Game" below.
There's a reason Braves fans have been filing into Turner Field year after year. Not only has Atlanta enjoyed the good fortune of having a solid lineup for over a decade strong, the city is home to a great baseball venue as well. Tucked nicely between Georgia Avenue and Hank Aaron Drive, Turner Field is just a few blocks from downtown Atlanta.
It's recommended to enter the stadium through Monument Grove on the northwest side of the stadium. Braves fans can take in statues of Hank Aaron, Phil Neikro and Ty Cobb as well as the statues of retired Braves, Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Phil Niekro and Dale Murphy on their way into the game. Just past Monument Grove lies the main entry plaza where patrons can select from a wide variety of food, snacks and refreshments before finding their seats.
Once inside, it's hard not to notice how clean they keep this park. No matter where you sit in Turner Field you'll have your own chair and cup holder. There are no bleachers at Turner Field. From the Budweiser clock in right center field to the massive scoreboard in center and the double-deck seating behind left field, this is a unique ballpark, built to bring back the past glory of the old stadiums. It was built for baseball, so the sightlines are great. The seats just beyond the dugouts are angled in towards the bases, so there's no stiff-neck seating down the lines. One things for certain at Turner Field, your going to have comfortable seating with a great view no matter where you're sitting.
The Braves got what it takes to make it to October, so grab some cohorts, get out to Turner Field and root the Braves on to victory today!
