The Atlanta Braves is a team based out of Atlanta Georgia, they are currently in the Eastern division of the National League. They are known for a consecutive 14 division championships from 1991 to 2005. The Atlanta Braves have won 16 dividional titles, 17 National League pennants and 3 world series championships. The years were 1914, 1957 and 1995.
They were formely as a Boston based team and they took part in some great moments and achievements in baseball history. The early years were dismissal and whatever went wrong went wrong. The only man left believing that the team was actually team was manager George Stallings. Slowly the team began to turn itself around. The doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds on July 19 Sonet had 17 was played better than any other in the league and they’re ready to catch the New York Yankees. The team into the World Series as big underdogs against Connie Macks Philadelphia A’s. the two to the two teams went head-to-head and ended up sweeping the favored athletics. Finally, Boston became world champions. In 1948 became one of its tender wonderful pitching of Warren Spahn bond and Johnny Sain who both won 39 games between the two of them.
In 1953 they moved the team to Milwaukee. In 1957 Brave celebrated their first pennant in nine years led by Hank Aaron’s awesome MVP season leading the National League in home runs and RBIs.
The 1960s a new group of owners of Chicago went and relocated to a huge television market. The city Midlantic instructed a new ballpark which officially opened in 1965. from 1977 to 1985 they were a 500 ballclub. The only satisfying thing was Hank Aaron hitting huge homeruns for the ballclub and by the end of 1973 he had hit 713 homeruns one short of Babe Ruth’s record. In 1976 Ted Turner purchased the team and hired as a coach Bobby Cox in 1978. Bobby Cox was promoted to manager in the middle the 1990s replacing Russ Nixon as head coach. In the following season they acquired young pitchers Tom Glavine Steve Avery and John Smoltz who were basically the best young pitchers in the league. Atlanta Braves won the World Series in 1995 defeating the Cleveland Indians in six games. In 2005 the Braves won the 14th consecutive division title and marked the first time a team had won a pennant with four rookies on the team. However their dreams was crushed by a walk off home run by Chris Burke from the Houston Astros.
