In 1902 the Cincinatti Reds built the palace of the fans with an extravagant façade and opera style boxes lining the front the rows. In 1934 the stadium was Crosley Field for the Cincinnati Reds. By the late 1960’s the Cincinnati reds were eager to to jump on the multi purpose stadium band wagon. Their new home was riverfront stadium a publically financed concrete bowl. In 2005 you don’t need to be a genius to figure out what went wrong with the Cincinatti Reds. They couldn’t overcome there horrible pitching but there offense was quite good. They finished first in runs, doubles, home runs and slugging percentage. There free agency outlook for 2006 doesn’t look that good as well with no money to spend on free agents.
