When the Montreal Expos began play in 1969 they played in Parc Jarry stadium a small community field that was expanded for major league use. In 1985 Buck Rodgers took the helm for the Montreal Expos. In 1994 Moises Alou catapulted the Expos to there best record as of yet (74-40).
In 1994-1995 season fan capacity was blamed on the strike and despite there loyalty to baseball the fans were more interested in Hockey at that time. The came big hitting Vladimir Guerrero who had a great year batting .336 and hitting 39 home runs they were still being ignored.
